Converse was back in basketball and they wanted to make a big splash. The All-Star Game was in Charlotte that year, so the play was pretty clear. Bring back their most beloved character, Grandmama. And kill her.
Her wake would double as the weekend's wildest party with a who's who of well-wishers set to attend. The community would mourn her passing with the t-shirts and murals every hood legend deserves. Fans would even be able to take home some priceless momentos from her estate sale. The client loved it. We loved it. Everything was going great. Oh well.
