I worked as a journalist covering the NBA for almost ten years before pivoting to advertising. I discovered that many of the skills I honed were transferable. From finding insights to concepting and crafting a narrative, writing is writing.
Of course sports are still sports too. I will always have a passion for telling those stories. But if I can make unsweetened almond milk funny, then there’s gotta be plenty more products out there waiting for me.
I guess my point is, don’t put me in a box. Unless it’s a nice one.
